The HARAOA DX Team is preparing for it's next major DXpedition in 2012. After the completion of the VK9HR Lord Howe Island DXpedition in July 2011 the HARAOA team has been busy building a complete set of 2 Element Moxon Beams for 40M, 30M, 20M, 17M, 15M, 12M and 10M bands. Each Moxon Beam is built using square aluminium tubing for the boom and aluminium channel supports for the fiberglass tube elements. Each Moxon has a Spiderbeam 10 meter collapsible aluminium mast. This allows for quick field deployment using simple guy ropes and pegs. For the low bands of 160M and 80M we have the existing club Spiderbeam 18 meter fiberglass masts supporting inverted L verticals.
HARAOA has also recently purchased a Kenwood TS590S and a SPE 1K-FA linear amplifier for the club that will be used in future club events and DXpedition's.
The HARAOA DX Team now has a total of four Kenwood TS590S radios, four SPE linear amplifiers and a complete set of high performance monoband antennas for the next HARAOA DXpedition in 2012.
